Instagram Addiction

A week back my OnePlus 8 mobile started behaving weird, there were multiple lines on the screen, battery bulged and was getting hotter than Kriti (in Cocktail 2). It was time to let it go and hang on to a new mobile. Switched to Redmi 12c which I had bought it 2 years back. Obviously it cant handle the load that OnePlus used to, so I installed only very very very essential apps.

And Instagram was not part of that list.

Although I was gathering so much info from Instagram, I am at more peace now.

What's on my Mind? - The book

This is an elegant book and my strong recommendation for every one to read it. as early as age 15.

Contents of the book

1. Witnessing in the moment of choice
2. Dealing with Inner Enemies
    Desire
    Anger
    Fear
    Greed
    Envy and Jealousy
    Pride

The chapter 2 is what makes this book special. The author explains each of our enemies (as the author says so) and how to do with it with examples. It just blew my mind, wish I had read this book in my 20s, I would have been a better person since then.

A dear and near friend gave this book to me and I am so thankful and greatful to him.

Is Bangalore ever going to develop and resolve issues?

This is purely my thinking.

Bangalore has already developed. It has given shelter to so many people, so many industries, colleges, infrastructure and what not?

The population has grown from 5 million in 2000 to 15 million in 2026. Its a job destination of every Karnataka person. And also attracts people from other parts of the country, isn't it? Reasons could be climate, job opportunities, living style, communities, culture and it is metropolitan (even though its not officially metropolitan city).

When it has accommodated 15 million then definitely all aspects of living should have been developed, right? Then why are people still struggling with basic necessities like bad roads, traffic jams, water scarcity, bad infrastructure etc ?

I would like to explain it with an analogy.

In Software world, we had something called Monolith architecture, meaning all the functionalities are embedded into a single application. The result ? scalability issues, often breakdowns, maintenance issues, difficult to upgrade software versions. What was the solution? Micro services architecture ! Get my point?

The same things should be done with Bangalore. Dismantle Monolith and create Micro services. Stop expanding Bangalore, but develop tier 2 cities like Mangalore, Hubli, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gulbarga.

What will happen? Atleast job seekers from other parts of Karnataka will get diversified in these cities and the load on Bangalore will reduce drastically. Bangalore will then thrive!

I am sure this would have been thought by many, but none has implemented it.

Being Ignored, I hate it, Argh !!!

One thing I hate the most or can't handle or impacts me for a longer time is someone ignoring me. Damn, damn damn, I haven't learnt how to deal with it and still not able to cope up with.

On the same side even failure/rejection is another thing which I can't handle, well, at least I know the possibilities of failing. Over the years I have come across failures and have myself prepared. Rejection/failure is something one knows it very well. It's near to impossible if one doesn't know he/she might get rejected.

Let's get back to getting ignored. For example : not replying to my messages, not acknowledging my thoughts, no communication, not responding at all. I am struggling to cope up with these situations. Days pass by, sometimes a month but the situation and thought still linger in my head. Why did that person ignore me? what went wrong? what did I do wrong? That happens when I absolutely have zero clue. And in case I know the reason, if its my mistake, I actually, formally, apologize.

Why do I apologize? I like to talk to people, from being a silent boy to talkative adult I have taken decades to transform. I have tried being silent and go rogue, its simply not happening. Even in my earlier post I have ranted changing myself, but why should I change for somebody else? May be the answer is I should change, for myself and not depend on others. It's a fight within.

The bottom line - Ignore me and I will go rogue.

Harley X440 T - Surprise

Long long back I had crush on CBR 250R, it was a dream bike, although looks were similar to Ninja and other super bikes. I was never into bikes. The complexity of riding them always scared me. Speed thrill but kills.

RE Classic 500 was an impulse buy. I tried to into riding mode, but never successful. 9 years and the odometer showed 6600 in Feb 2026 when I got it overhauled with breaks, service etc. Started riding very often and seems like I am getting a hang of it. Now its just Speed Thrills.

But RE is quite heavy, long rides are quite engaging and feels good. At the same time I also wanted to have a sleek, sporty, lighter machine. Not a sporty riding position. I have been monitoring bikes for over a year, had a thought of selling off RE but never actually decided. The final verdict was to continue riding RE but also own another.

Here enters Harley-Davidson X440 T into my parking lot. In fact I had booked X440 when it was launched with Rs 5000/- advance payment. Kept on pushing taking its delivery thinking I will do an injustice by not giving it a spin on regular basis. X440 T is a good upgrade.

At its a surprise, because I had not informed anybody about buying it. As usual, I like giving surprises.

Also thinking of recoding my rides and may be start posting them!

Happy Riding.

Missing A Friend or A Friend is Missing ?!

Bollywood, Hollywood, Sandalwood ...all the woods have exaggerated "friendship" so much that I have always felt I need a friend, jo always says "yes" when I need. But wait friend was there during Mahabharat days, remember Lord Krishna and Sudhama? they hardly met, yet were connect. What's the point of having one and not in touch on regular basis?

Coming to the current days, who has time to travel 30-45 mins to meet? Call and talk once in 2-3 days? Or even text to say "Hey". I feel it's not about time, its about preference or priority. And I need that one person who gives me priority, pretty expensive ask.

Just because I want such a person, no human being will be ready to auto connect like a wi-fi, I should have worked on it long long back. Did I ever ? Oh yeah, I have established a lot and at every stage of my life, but none of them have lasted. Everything perishes, expecting friendship to float for life isn't fair. Yet, I want one friend !

I happened to come across one lady who is self sufficient, absolutely "I don't need anybody to spend time with, to make me happy, be there for me when I need" types. Although she has friends. I am simply not able to digest how can it be attained, just not possible for me.

The changes in my life lately are pushing to get to that stage, may be sooner or later I might attain moksha of all the "friendly" pleasures. If this happens then old age is going to be easier? or difficult? Because at that point of time I would like to tell my stories, definitely N wont be in a situation to listen to me, as I talk and trouble her so much now itself. Well, let's not think about future too much now.

    Question unanswered!

40s, Health, Lifestyle Diseases, Uncertainty at 60

In 40s and 50s the concentration shifts towards health looking at the report card, yup the blood test report card. The good ones are below the boundary line and bad ones are above the boundary line. Does these number pop-up suddenly ? No ways, they have been building all throughout our life. I never looked the parameters when crossed 35. That would have raised alarms.

When the numbers cross the boundary line, it's so much pressure to bring them back to normal and talk to anybody on earth, its painstakingly longer than expected.

So here are the pointers from an experienced person
  • Workout, Exercise regularly right from the beginning as early as 20s.
  • Inculcate habits that push you to be physically active.
  • Enjoy food. Every one enjoy the junk, but my point is enjoy the healthy ones as well.
  • Start monitoring your blood parameters and signs by your body.
  • Alcohol / Cigarette consumption worsens the conditions
Diabetes will cause a big. That's the start of all the problems. When body doesn't produce enough insulin, sugar starts getting into blood and its circulates throughout the body and heart. Now the veins, in which blood flows, start accumulating the stains of this sugar on the walls and impacts the blood flow slowly, year after year.

The deep fried food, alcohol damages the liver.

When this accumulation itself takes years, the cure will also be as long. Then starts increase in blood pressure, fatigue and other diseases. Then the pressure to maintain diet, exercise builds rapidly.

Its like Bangalore city, every where traffic.

All of a sudden one starts thinking why is it happening to me? The answer is - because you ignored taking care of body right from the beginning.

When a parent teaches to study regularly for the year end exam, why doesn't the same parent implies the same to his/her health? Well, teach the kid also about health, not only prepare for exam but also take care of health.

The long term impact ? One starts taking diabetes medicine at 45, bp medicine will be introduced in my prescription by 48-50, then cholesterol control tablets by 52, heart surgery by 55 and bedridden by 60. So by 60, one will be consuming 8 to 10 tablets daily instead of food.

All the best !

AI - What lies in the future?

Came across this article today - https://www.moneycontrol.com/science/watch-china-s-humanoid-robots-practice-kung-fu-with-shaolin-monks-in-viral-temple-video-article-13820936.html

Excerpts from the article - Chinese robotics firm Agibot released a new video on February 7 featuring humanoid robots practicing kung fu at China’s historic Shaolin Temple, sparking widespread discussion online and raising questions about the growing presence of artificial intelligence in traditional human spaces.

Probably everyone has watched videos of robots in airports, have a cleaning robo at home, computers aiding engineers to write programs, helping doctors in diagnosis of diseases faster etc etc. That's 2026.

What lies in the future?

  • People will buy a robot and send it to work. More the money, smarter the robo and higher the earnings
  • Wars will be fought by robos
  • Police being replaced
  • Robos will be sent to space
  • A robo teacher is school and colleges
  • Robos farming
  • Elderly care by robos
  • Robos in action during fire fight
  • Boat seizure, robos sent
  • Robos exploring unexlpored deep ocean
  • Send them to Antartica or Artic zones
Smart AI, Dumb Human.

Old Age Home

The previous generations had 2 or 3 children, the one before that had 6 to 7 children, no guess on how many did the one before had.

Cities developed, infrastructure grew, industries increased in numbers and resultant was people started moving to cities for jobs. The joint families with 6-7 siblings split up. The ones who moved to cities started having lesser kids for various reasons. Kids started looking for opportunities overseas and who were left behind? The parents, the elders and that gave a space for old age homes.

I have seen parents living with kids, kids living in different cities and elders without family. So what's the point?

There is definitely need of Old Age Homes.

I, myself, thinking of constructing one. God know if I can afford taking shelter in an old age home, so why not have one of my own?

The Wait Kills

In 21st Century, the Wait is simply exhausting or to put it in different perspective we don't have patience. Let me explain what I mean.

Recollect the last time you ordered food on a Sunday morning and the delivery guy on the app shows he hasn't picked up the food yet. The "wait" begins. No matter how hard you try, the situation isn't going to improve as it's out of your control. One keeps checking if the food got picked. Wait isn't over yet, one keeps a track of the delivery guy all through the traffic till he reaches doorstep.

You have attended an interview for a job. After every round the "wait" for the schedule for next round seems endless. And after the last round the "wait" for the offer letter is eternity.

Just the "wait" for salary after 10th of every month is painful.

The "wait" for a stock price to go up, exam results, blood reports, getting cured after falling ill 🤒, festivals especially Deepawali and Ganesh Chaturthi, the "wait" for vacations and the list goes on.

My point is the duration for which we wait isn't that long as it actually is. There is one particular wait that I want to emphasize.

Elders, especially the one who live in old age home, the bed ridden ones, the ones who have chronic diseases the wait is unbearable. The real pain lies there. It's impossible to feel that pain of waiting for the "death". Although nobody expresses it but definitely thinks about it for the wait to get over.

This particular "wait" kills.

Is it all about Life or Death?

Look around, everybody is living for the sake of death and not for a living purpose. When did this definition change? Life is a blessing or rather its a blessing in disguise. The way we are living is preparing for death, there are more than enough reasons to find just at your eye sight distance, but definitely not all of them. The common man category probably makes the most of this category or could be everybody. The only category who don't live preparing for the death are the selfless ones. That would be my definition.

Let's look at few examples from each category.

Poor: I am not getting into the definition of poor. What's objective of this category? A few of them to list - earn for their livelihood and to give a good future for their children. At the first place, why do they make kids when they themselves are living in jeopardy? No, I am not criticizing their marriage and having kids but look at the prospects. When I am done with my life, why should my child or children suffer is the question that the poor is addressing. So the prep is for his own death. He/She is willingly ready to sacrifice his life for the prospects of his children. All the paths of his thoughts lead to death and nothing more. Someone, or infact many, can ask how would you "live" if I were to be poor? My answer wouldn't be different.

Middle class: This category has the leverage of having some cash in bank account and have different thoughts. What's the objective of this category? Earn, Buy Property, Travel, Party, Send kids to good school. Consider each of them and they are interlinked. Earn because to buy property, buy property so that their children are secured when he/she dies. Travel, why? To see the world because he doesn't know when he is going to die. Party, now you would have guessed the reason. Send children to good school, so that they can take care of themselves after him. Every single reason leads to preparation of death.

Rich: Now this category not only has the leverage of money but also power. Money becomes second priority when it is in abundant. The nature of human being is to ignore or neglect what he has and to perceive what he doen't have. Getting into power and having a command over a few aspects of society to get the name and fame so that their name is imprinted in the history after he / she dies. The abundant money, properties, cash, ornaments etc ...all that is used to get into the power and a back plan if he gets into a mess (I can only guess).

Scientists: There are a few categories who indulge themselves in search of "something". I definitely don't want to say they do their job for the preparation of death. The passion towards "something" doesn't lets them think of death and keep their exploration active. There are few more categories like this.

And as I said not all of human beings are living for death but definitely a very major chunk of it.

And do I have answer on how to live and not prepare for death? NO.

Challenges and Changes ...continued

Started: 30-10-2025

Updated: 13-12-2025

Its been 2 years that I have been losing interest in my job, especially software developer/lead role. If I were to identify the root cause there could be multiple.

Whenever I need to take a decision or explain things or give an advice/suggestion, I always make sure there are multiple points supporting, which means the point is strong and valid.

Taking a step back, the reasons for my interest loss could be

  • Routine: I literally hate routine way of life. Going to office, returning back, eat and sleep. Even though weekends are there, it just goes off in a jiffy. I wasnt able to cultivate any habit due to time constraint. I know this is arguable saying waking up early can give me extra hours, but I am not a morning person. I got to fight my own habits to cultivate habits 😂
  • Job was boring: The work/development I was doing wasn't interesting. In previous project, I was playing a role of handling client issues and addressing them. That role used to give me a kick when there was a production issue or when client was facing a problem. I had played that role for a long time because it was chosen by me. May be I should have enhanced the role's coverage to have a greater acceptance and allow me to continue. But development wasn't/isn't really my cup of tea. And probably so I lost interest in job. I gave serious thought to move to a different role but wasn't sure if I could succeed.
  • Scope of knowledge: The scope of my knowledge was very very limited to software, my bad. I should have involved myself into other things to some extent. This kept me pushing to explore more. The discussion with friends always made me realize "I don't know anything apart from software", which was true. It was just that I hadn't exposed myself to the outer world.
  • Scope of Job: Well when the knowledge was itself limited, how can I take up another job? I wanted to find an answer to this. I started scanning newspapers on regular basis, scrolled through Instagram to find what kind of jobs are out there etc etc. It wasnt fruitful. I am actually open to take up any job and pour in my interest, that's how I am. That's when I started listing out domains which can sustain for a longer duration. I have a few interests of my own and I did take some steps to put my foot in them. To some extent I have explored, just to make sure it's viable and sustainable if I quit software job.
  • Financial Backup: This one was the biggest challenge to take up any change in my life. Not impacting my family during my transition was the upmost priority. After all the thoughts about routine, job, scope and transition was done the financial support hit me hard. So the steps had to go backwards with strong and long term planning. There have been cases where job loss has put families in trouble and a lot of emotional, mental stress. This had to be avoided at any cost as it could impact my family, myself and our lives. The first and foremost step was to have a strong financial backup before taking any step.
  • Exploring Business Opportunities: For having a strong financial backup either I should have sufficient bank balance for 3 years (so much that summing up all monthly expenses, health insurance premiums, vehicle insurance premiums, educational, travel expenses, miscellaneous and an additional 25% extra)
  • Different dimension: There was also a thread in mind saying - there is only one life, why not explore other possibilities of way of leading and living. I didn't/don't have a goal set in IT industry, so why am I chasing it? It's better to set a goal and chase it. And that's where I deviated to find something else.

I worked it out to find my interest to earn and live the next innings. There is always a greater interest to work on things that we own as they are near to heart to nurture and grow to all the possible heights. There is a fear of failure but wait, not without giving it a try !

My last working day in Software company was on 7th Dec.

Challenge Accepted. I planned to shift to Academics !

Paradigm Shift in Profession

7th November is Dad's Birthday. One of those birthdays which wont erase from memory.

7th November 2025 - My last working day at JP Morgan Chase. This company brought a lot of stability in terms of finance, knowledge and opportunities. It was really a good experience working and I will remember few colleagues forever.

7th November 2025 - The day on which iksha institute of technologies came into existence. That brings a paradigm shift in my profession from a software engineer to academics.

Dated : Aug 2009

Challenges and Changes

Challenges at every age, every year, every stage and each one is uniquely different every time. Let me start from the beginning.

As a new born

Communicating with people, especially mom, is a biggest challenge in the universe. I am hungry, I want to sleep, I need attention and what not. There is no other challenge equivalent to this one. The struggle to move, scroll and move forward, identify relatives, smiling, responding to faces are no less than hurricanes. The sounds that I made were so cute but mom, dad, relatives wanted me to learn their language and ruin my own way of conversation. The universal force to make say mamma, dadda was like Avengers trying to defeat Thanos. That doesnt stop, then follows uttering rhymes, singing, dancing which my parents (and every parent) wanted me to perform. Out of nowhere comes learning numbers, as if I my life is going to be dedicated as a business man who is just going to count money throughout his life. No prize for guessing the countless games (which makes me learn brainy stuff) that are gifted and are kept around me when i start crying out of hunger or anger. Believe there was no fun in seeing a bus, car, buildings, sky, plane, tress which were shown as if they are about to go extinct.

Now imagine all these challenges that you have faced in the first 2 years of stepping into this world. These are just a few.

These challenges keep repeating thereon in one or the other form as an when you step into new stage. But the fun part is the challenges are of the same nature, arent they? Let's analyze.

As a school going kid

  • The first thing that is taught is to speak and communicate with not only teachers but also the same aged kids. Did we not do it when we were just born?
  • I still had to convey that I am hungry but I dont want to eat rice and sambar
  • Now that i was walking properly, I was asked to run and run fast
  • Recite more rhymes and tables
  • Talk to every relative and parent's friend who visit home, come on give me a break
  • Numbers was still fine, but then comes addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Games got upgraded, competition was a norm.
  • Competition also got upgraded, it was inter-school fight.
  • I had to then identify more things surrounding me like books, books and more books
  • Study more subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Trigonometry ufffff
Same challenges but the levels got upgraded. Well, there is more.

As a college going kid

  • Well communication had to get better and better. I had to now communicate to lecturers, professors and principal
  • Running just got better, I had to run in the race of life. Excel in exams, get admission in top colleges and ace for job
  • Recite formulas, experiments, periodic table
  • Solve more complex problems to get a job
  • Games to be played at National level
  • Identifying things beyond your environment is essential at this stage and probably solar system
  • Study/Education doesnt stop, it has to be done at a deeper level
Same challenges but the levels got upgraded.

As a young man

  • Communication is a key now, not only a means to convey message
  • Keep running to earn, to support family and take care of needs
  • Recite the formulas to spend money carefully and to save
  • Solve problems to retain the job
  • Games having more scope of playing at international level. Compete with global players
  • At this age/stage having knowledge of past, current and predict future events becomes inevitable
  • Upgrading skills with latest technologies and learning new kills are part of life
Agree? Well, the challenges dont change much apart from circumstances. The other two stages are being a family person in mid age and then the old age. Even at those stages the challenges repeat at different circumstances.

These challenges are accepted and handled the same way by 99% of human population. There seems to be no alternate way of leading life unless and until one wants to deviate and try something different.

The question is why and when would a person think differently and try to take a new path? That only happens when the basic needs and necessities are taken care of. Removing the burden releases the pressure on brain and sets it free.

For a free mind, sky is the limit. This stage when attained, human being has excelled and made a stance to achieve something which pleases and satisfies oneself. Take examples from the past and present, there are handful of people who have discovered and invented things.

Well, I have walked the same path. The chances of setting a free mind was near to nil. And the most painful situation is when one is forced to work without having an interest. That's when I looked at possibilities of setting up myself free and find something where I would be happy and satisfied the things i do, be it work or a hobby.

I have accepted the challenge and trying to change the path I am walking. Hoping for the best.

Travel Diary Year 2022

My last post was in Nov 2022 which means I haven't looked at my blog for over 2.5 years. With that time frame there have been a lot and lots of changes and many more challenges, of course in my life.

Just going to summarize so that I can read it when I dont have a better job to do or probably can't do any job. I am aging faster, seems like, but ascertaining like fine wine or no that only time will tell. Got to get some of my plans executed and hopefully fetch some name, fame and money.

Let's start from 2022 and turn over the pages of my travel diary.

2022

Lonavala in April: The trend of going on a trip during our marriage anniversary and chinni's birthday has picked up. And we have done it consistently since then. Lonavala during April is definitely not a good idea. The location itself is so scenic but would be much much better and fabulous during rainy season. Nevertheless we did enjoy the stay and food.

Sikkim in May:

Sikkim has to be experienced than described. Two eyes aren't just enough. Mesmerizing places. It was the first time I saw and touched snow. An unforgettable trip for multiple reasons.

The trip was about 6-7 days and we had so many places to cover. After a lot of discussion, we ended up planning the northern part (Lachen, Lachung, Yumthang) and the west part (Nathula pass).  Had to drop Pelling which is on the east side.

At such an altitude, the pace with which we travel is very slow. Distance between the tourist destinations is about 200~ kms but the time taken is nothing less than 6 hours. Too much of time goes off in travelling but the view is just amazing, one has to enjoy the travel and also the destination if Sikkim has to be thoroughly enjoyed.

Be it Gurudongmar lake, Yumthang valley, Zero point, Nathula pass or just the Teesta river, every aspect of Sikkim a wonderful journey to experience.

Kukke Subramanya and Udupi in October

A long pending destination being skipped due to the inconvenience of travelling due to distance was finally picked up and executed.

It was again a family trip with friends along. I have always enjoy the companion of another family/families. Its fun unlimited. Loved this one, the group pic as well as the trip.

Year end Varkala Trip:

Coastal trips are always fun, due to beach for obvious reason. But Varkala is an exception.

We planned a train route for a change and it was an adventure for being such a long journey, food options, AC in train, last but not the least the booking itself.

Varkala is known for its Cliffs and the scenic beauty it offers as far as we can see. The restaurants on the cliff offers a wide verity of food which one can keep hopping on every day and the tourist vibes are definitely a crowd puller.

The Mangrove ride was another attraction with a dash of rain in between.

Its a one time visit for the number of places around Varkala and if a person just wants to sit and enjoy the infinite view then its a re-visit every year.

Curtains to 2022 😀

Solo Trip to South Goa

Way back in 2010 I wandered alone for 3 months which was "I am left with no options" as I was alone in HK and sitting in room was getting more boring. Ended up exploring few places in and around HK, alone.

After so many years, I set out on a solo trip to get my own time for myself to Goa, unplanned, no hotel bookings and with very less balance in my savings account, ofcourse credit card was there to rescue. When I left Dharwad, had thought of meeting friends in Belguam and nothing more. All the meeting, cheering, tea, gup shap was over in a hour's time, as friends were busy with their work. What next ? Goa !

Dharwad -> Belgaum -> Agonda

Around 4pm I reached Agonda, parked my car and walked the narrow lane asking for a room. the options were plenty. Checked few rooms but the one facing the sea was more attractive, priced Rs 3000/- per night and I said yes. The only luggage was backpack with couple of dresses and a laptop with it's charger. Beside my room was a restaurant, sea facing, offering drinks and food. Took a beer and a paneer tikka and started leaving all tensions, worries, headaches one by one.

My only thought was "what do I do, alone ?" The first day, I just sat watching the waves, had a long bare foot walk, wandered to and fro deciding where to have dinner. Zeroed in on the same restaurant where I had lunch. There was some live performance, singing some romantic, dil bhare and some foot tapping numbers. I drowned myself in Glenfiddich and the songs.

Hadn't spent being alone, purposely, anytime. Even though I was alone on the table, communication to couple of friends didn't stop and I didn't wanted to stop (not with N). It was a Sunday and Monday was a holiday too. There was no pressure of getting up early and warming up and start working, keeping me awake past midnight listening to the gushing waves.

Room View

The Agonda stretch was small, the ends of the narrow lane were not far and therefore I looked out for other options, found Palolem to be more crowded, made it my next destination. Had breakfast, checked out from room and headed towards Palolem. Again checked out some rooms and decided to stay in Brushwood resort (never stay there).

In Palolem, I would take a walk in the morning before breakfast, work, take a walk for lunch, work, take a looong walk for dinner and sleep. Opted for a new restaurant every time, a different cuisine every time. But 2 things didn't change, my silence and drinks (beer in the afternoon and whiskey at night). For 4 - 5 days I spoke to anybody other than the waiter.

Palolem

Being with myself, walking along the seashore, watching the waves gushing and calming down, observing the sunset was all that needed to drain the worries, tension of a city life. That's the time one asks self why there is a need to lead a stressful life ? why there is a need of competition to have a peace of mind ? why there is a need to wait for a weekend ? Although the eagerness to talk to somebody increased after few days, but that would settle down if one decides. In the world of unknowns, one a attains peace and learns to live more calmly.

Having experienced this, the next year may bring in more solo trips!

Harmony

Harmony - coming from a Greek word Harmonia meaning - joint, framework, agreement.

The most sought after living, yet it's the most difficult thing to achieve or probably the area where least effort is put on by humans. It's an inherent feature in everybody when it comes to communicating the feelings, thoughts, conflicts, disagreement and ofcourse expectations.

When harmony has to exist between 2 humans or a group of humans, communication holds the key. Let's take Husband and Wife relationship. They got to live together, go through emotions, share living space, protect each other, sail ups and downs but how? harmoniously! And it will be harmoniously when the communication between the two is impeccable, be it about feelings, expectations, conflicts or expectations. This is where the relationship fails a lot of times.

I didnt specifically mean marriage relationship, that was just an example. The relationship could be of 2 friends or a group of friends, parents and children, families, teacher and student, leader and team. So much build up, like KGF !

We fail to express our expectations, feelings, disagreement and even if we do so there is difficulty in getting on a agreement which pleases both the parties. And when there is no agreement, the relationship breaks. But the question here is - what should the topic where both the parties express disagreement and dont come to common terms? And when there is a disagreement, then comes next step, one of the parties should take a step back or both the parties can take a step back/forward to get the harmony in place.

I have a situation. I am not keen on spending 2 nights to celebrate new year, just because few friends aren't ready to drive back home on 1st reasoning to have exhausted after the party. Multiple reasons

  •  Alcohol is not the primary way of partying for me
  • I already have plans for a trip just before the new year
  • I dont want skip my work and also dont want my daughter to miss her school due to an extended stay
  • Even though the price of extended stay would be less, it unnecessary
I haven't been so rigid before but I have my reasonable reasons to stick to.
This is a disagreement. I have communicated. The other party has communicated too. There may be not a compromise by both parties.

What next ? Harmony breaks ? Only time can tell.

Travel

Something to unwind, something to breakfree, something to explore, a way to learn from past and present, something to experience ... meet ... greet people, something to experience climate ... food ... culture is what for we travel. Trips also explains us how much we have been occupied with routine, how mundane is our job, how much of we are missing in our life, how much more can we get out of our life.

All that glitters is not gold, yup all the trips doesnt meet the purpose.

Looking back at last 2 years, we have been places to unwind and rejuvenate ourself.

2022
Mysore, Nanjangud
Pune, Lonavala
Sikkim
Udupi

2021
Nandi Betta
Sakleshpur
Belur, Halebeedu
Goa
Coorg
Coimbatore

But every time we return from trip, we end up taking a day of rest before resuming work.

Am I traveling the right way? Am I planning the right travel? Am I defining the "Travel" correctly?

Certification in Life

I have been educating/training/working on a certification in professional life. Its been long and every time I open the course, the "why" question diverts me to close laptop and just lazy around tv or do something else.  Wondering what is this "why" question?

Why should I do this certification? Especially when I dont have a task related to it.

Answer could be : prepare yourself, so that you are ready when the task comes.

Right from childhood, we have been doing the same. Prepare yourself for Maths, may be you get into a chemistry course hence ready chemistry or possibly you might end up taking up medicine so learn biology.

Let's assume I get into Maths stream, what about the time I spent studying biology? Is it going to be helpful any time? Well, there will be people who will be there to guide me when I need it, the doctors!

So what is the all fuzz about? Everyone, literally everyone, is living for the future and nobody is living at the present. And when the "that" future arrives, do we know we are ready/exist to face it?

So why take the certificate of completing I std, II std ... X std, the Graduation, the Post Graduation or the Kubernetes?

I refuse.

Short write up so that I can get back to prepare for Kubernetes certification.
