Engineering the inner

There are some great personalities that we have come across who have been way beyond the perimeter of common man's intellectuality. Swami Vivekananda is one of them. So what did Swami Vivekananda possess? What is the knowledge he gained that he is so much glorified? How did he gain that knowledge? Is it only the knowledge or something else which made him an extraordinary personality? All these questions lingered in my mind for a long time. Sometime last year I made up my mind to read his biography and picked Swami Vivekanand Jeevana Charitre, a Kannada language copy.

I haven't completely read the book but don't find anywhere mentioned how he gained the knowledge. He was intellectual right from the beginning. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa identified this kid to be having something extra than that a normal human can have. Yet to complete reading the book, I shouldn't be writing this blog concluding with half knowledge. And as I write this blog, I am realizing making a mistake of finding how he gained the knowledge rather than finding what he actually possessed or not reading his actual work.

One of the biggest disadvantage of not being a vivid reader, mysteries are eternal. Probably I should read one of his works and then come back to this biography.

This year, after watching so many of his videos, hearing so much about his philosophy I picked his book Inner Engineering. Again, I am half way through the book (and as usual I am taking more than enough time to complete this book). What fascinates me, again, is how did Sadhguru has knowledge way beyond what a common man possesses. HE explains, it just happened when he was on his way to Chamundi hills.

Nobody compels me to believe what the book has written, but there is some sense in what he preaches (or any word you can find to replace preaching). Every human is aware of every single line mentioned in the book yet no one pays attention to the minute detail Sadhguru has experienced. This makes him extraordinary, I feel.
